Simply Me, with Frosting

What’s your favorite flavor?

Mine is chocolate, and lemon. Actually, I like a lot of flavors, but those are my favorites.

What if the journey to reconnect with our true selves inspired joy along the way?

We have to take a lot of leaps as we EVOLVE. And those leaps require courage. Sure, it’s often messy at first, and sometimes scary. But eventually, we add flavor to our lives in all sorts of ways. You get to still be you, but you add a lot of ‘frosting’ as you continue to learn, grow and groove along your merry way.

As we twist and turn throughout the story of life, we have a choice. Are we going to stay in our current narrative, or are we going to embrace our evolving story? Some people opt for the path of least resistance, and they’re comfortable there. But others choose to lean into their healing while fully embracing a new narrative. I’m guessing you’re curious about taking a few leaps to live the life you dreamed of living. Am I right?

You are invited to embrace a
new narrative here.

Together, we will explore your history, embrace your present and lean into your future with a mixture of grace, gusto and grit.

Each time a woman stands up for herself, without knowing it possibly, without claiming it, she stands up for all women

- Maya Angelou

Have you ever noticed how life is full of defining moments?

It is human nature to ask the big, existential questions that bring us to our knees. The person you were before the world told you who you might become is a topic some have pondered, but only few have felt safe to explore. Joy, sorrow, stress, and trauma hold the potential to create those opportunities when life requires our undivided attention. It is after those defining moments that we have the opportunity to choose how we respond and proceed through life.

Is it possible to move forward without first healing from within?

Wounded healers witness many people become comfortable in their stories. It takes courage to heal and eventually evolve. Surviving and thriving are very different phenomena! It’s common to emerge from trauma different from who we once were before life ruptures and pauses. It is within that moment that we discover we have a choice in how we continue the journey. As Joseph Campbell reminds us, “We must be willing to let go of the life we planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us.” I believe that we must ponder what inspires us to persevere, grow resilience, forgive, and hope. The blueprint created as we were welcomed into the world trickles throughout our life, impacting how we deal with pain, trauma, and hope.
